Aug 04,2026 | Floral Knots

We at Floral Knots SG provide a truly unique experience with our Jade Bracelet Workshop—a distinctive offering that combines artistry, heritage, and personal expression. Designed for both jewellery veterans and curious amateurs, this workshop invites you to immerse yourself in the captivating world of jade while crafting a purposeful and wearable piece of beauty.

Jade has long been highly regarded across cultures, particularly in Asia, where it symbolises purity, protection, and harmony. At Floral Knots SG, fascinating storytelling and meticulous craftsmanship bring the rich cultural legacy of jade to life. You are not only crafting a jewellery piece but also embarking on a reflective journey that transports you back into the rich history of Jade.

During our workshops, we introduce you to genuine Grade A jade, obtained from renowned regions such as Myanmar (Burma), Guatemala, and China. You can expect to be exposed to a jaw-dropping array of jade colours—from verdant imperial greens to pastel lavenders, icy blues, warm yellows, and even blacks. Each hue contains its own aesthetic appeal and symbolic significance, empowering you to craft a bracelet that mirrors your personal style.

Also, our workshop distils practical industry knowledge about jade that is often overlooked in the consumer market. During the session, you will learn how to differentiate authentic jade from imitations, from learning about the effects of acid bleaching and resin impregnation in lower-grade jade to identifying lookalike stones such as amazonite and serpentine!

You can look forward to better appreciating jade via its two primary forms: jadeite and nephrite. Firstly, nephrite, also known as “Hetian” jade, has a waxy “mutton fat” texture. In contrast, jadeite boasts a glassy, porcelain-like touch, comprising two popular types: Guatemalan jade, which is prized for its bluish hues and cloud-like inclusions, while the fine grain and smooth texture of Myanmar jade are among the reasons for its outstanding market value today.

Furthermore, during the workshop, you can also understand the process of jade refinement in our Jade Bracelet workshops, from raw stone to polished gem! Assess raw jadeite in its natural “skin” to enhance your admiration for the intricate craftsmanship behind each piece of Jade.

Guided by our very own team of experienced facilitators, each participant will then design and make their own jade bracelet. With elegant design tips and personalised guidance, the final piece becomes more than an accessory—it is a memorable keepsake filled with intention and meaning.
